October 2024, Bangkok – CP LAND, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, has once again demonstrated its commitment to energy conservation by winning the “MEA ENERGY AWARDS 2023” at the STANDARD level for office buildings, presented by the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).
CP Tower 1 (Silom) earned this recognition for its energy-efficient design as part of the MEA’s initiative to promote energy efficiency in buildings under the theme “Efficient Energy Use and Standard Air Quality.”
Mr. Keerati Satasuk, CEO of CP LAND, emphasized that CP Group is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. CP LAND is supporting this policy by implementing sustainable practices that address global concerns about green energy, energy conservation, and sustainability.
The company initiated these efforts through comprehensive energy management in its office buildings by making strategic investments, including upgrades to air-conditioning systems, cooling tower replacements, and LED lighting installations.
These improvements have resulted in consistent reductions in energy consumption and significant decreases in CO2 and other harmful emissions. Such achievements contributed to CP Tower 1’s exceptional performance in energy efficiency and air quality standards, securing the MEA office building award.
Furthermore, CP LAND’s Avani Ratchada Bangkok Hotel (formerly Grand Fortune Bangkok), operated by partner Minor Hotels, received the MEA ENERGY AWARDS in the hotel category, achieving both STANDARD and PLATINUM levels.
Ms. Chidchanok Pasinpong, General Manager of Avani Ratchada Bangkok, accepted the awards along with a 1-million-baht grant to support future projects.
